Chateau en Folie Housing Co-operative, Anjou, Montreal (2017)
Host:Montreal Urban Ecology Center (MUEC) Area depaved: 120 square meters About: The site consists of three buildings with an asphalted back courtyard that runs between two perpendicular streets. The courtyard was almost entirely asphalted, except for a strip of grass along the back border of the property. The depave event transformed the underused courtyard into a green space that was planted, colourful and fragrant where residents could relax and socialize.

Host: L'esprit du lieu and the comite vert de la Ruelle du Trotteur Area depaved: 138 meters squared About: The neighbours around Ruelle du Trotteur in the Plateau district of Montreal came together, with support from the RBC Blue Water Project and the City of Montreal, to depave and plant their alleyway.
